ABOUT ME

I am an amateur filmmaker and photographer, producing creative content both in my spare time and at university. I have been deeply fascinated with film and television production from a young age, often preferring to watch behind the scenes featurettes than the film's themselves. I became obsessed with the seemingly magical and admirable nature of production in creating new worlds and realities, especially on a low budget, being specifically inspired by series like Doctor Who and the films of Edgar Wright, and having a particular affinity for the sci-fi and comedy genres.

I have been studying film and television since the age of 13, beginning with Film Studies GCSE, followed by A-Levels in both Film and Photography (receiving an A* in the latter), and am currently in the second year of my degree, studying BA Film at the University of Reading. I have created and participated in many short film projects, in which I have experimented with a variety of genres, and had experience in both live-action and animation, with my stop-motion short 'Identity' (2018) being awarded a High Commendation from the BFI in their 2019 Moving Image Awards. I would love to have a role in the creative media industries, and am more specifically pursuing a career as television director, but will continue to produce creative material in my spare time, regardless.
